What is cruise booking transfer?
Transferring a cruise reservation is the process of either:
- moving your existing cruise reservation from one travel agency to Japan Adventure Club.
- adding Japan Adventure club as an agent into your direct booking with a cruise line.
What is the procedure?
- You need to contact the original travel agency and request a transfer.
- If you have booked your cruise directly with a cruise line, contact the cruise line to request the transfer.
What will be changed?
- You may get more value or exclusive benefits from Japan Adventure Club than from your existing travel agent.
- If you have booked your cruise directly with a cruise line, you will keep whatever your current booking as it is. You'll enjoy all of this additional value without a single change to any of your existing reservation's specifics: you'll set sail on the very same ship, and on the very same dates, and in the very same stateroom that you've already selected; even your dining times, and any benefits that you may be receiving via your cruise line's loyalty program, will continue to apply.
What booking can be transferred?
Most cruise lines have specific guidelines, restrictions, etc. that customers will need to adhere to when transferring their reservation. But generally, you must haven only paid a deposit. If you have paid in full or made your final payment, your transfer won't be approved.
What is called date restriction?
You need to be aware of the date restriction. Most cruise lines have a policy that allows you to transfer your booking within a certain period of time, usually 30 to 90 days from the date of booking. If you miss this deadline, you will not be able to proceed. You need to make sure you do it before the date restriction expires.
What is the date restriction of your cruise line?
- Azamara: 60 days and cannot involve a change in currency.
- Cunard, Princess, Holland America, & Seabourn: 90 days.
- Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, & Silversea: 30 days.
- Norwegian, Oceania, & Regent Seven Seas: 14 days.
