Decorate the autumn leaves in Japan
The Japanese archipelago has four distinct seasons. In autumn, the leaves of deciduous broad-leaved trees gradually turn yellow and red. The large and small mountains in the central Japanese archipelago are crisscrossed in the north, south, east, and west. There are many deciduous broad-leaved trees, with 26 species, ranking first in the world. At this time, the beautiful scenery of yellow and red maple leaves competing in the mountains and parks is loved by people. The golden leaves everywhere, such as fire and clouds, is naturally beautiful; while green, yellow and red complement the beautiful scenery, it is also interesting and dazzling.
The colorful Momiji in maple leaves is the representative of Japanese red leaves. Momiji is also the general term for Japanese maple species. Among them, there is a maple called Iroha Momiji (chicken-foot maple-annotation). The colors are especially bright, and it is a representative plant of autumn in Japan. Autumn leaves have been synonymous with autumn and have appeared in Japanese waka since ancient times. Zen monk and poet Ryokan (1758-1831) wrote a haiku chanting red maples - "clear inside and outside, red leaves fill the sky".
On the Japanese archipelago, which is long from north to south, the maple leaves start to turn red from the Daisetsu Mountain in Hokkaido in September every year, and gradually advance to the south. Like the front line of the rainy season and the front line of cherry blossoms every year, the Japanese put the best autumn leaves viewing season on the map. The line is called "Red Leaf Front". Please find the below "Red Leaf Front" we have prepared for you before you book an autumn cruise.
