Both banks of the Motoyasu River, which runs through the park, are lined with cherry blossom trees, drawing lively crowds of people who come to view the cherry blossoms day and night each spring.

About 2000 cherry trees are planted around the spacious grounds of Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, which lies on a long, narrow peninsula north of the city center. Nishi Park is one of Japan's 100 best cherry blossom spots. The last, at Atago Shrine, you'll meet hundreds of cherry trees decorating the shrine's steep approach and hilltop location.

Kanazawa once rivalled Kyoto and Edo (Tokyo) as a town rich in cultural achievements. The city is famous because of Kenrokuen. Located next to Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen is classified as “One of the Three Gardens of Japan”. The garden has an artificial pond, and hills and houses are dotted within the 11.4 hectares. It has Japan’s oldest fountain using natural water pressure and a tea-house dating back to 1774.

 There are about 400 cherry trees in the town. "Samurai Yashiki Oji" is dotted with samurai houses from the 17th century, and along this road, cherry blossoms over 300 years old are blooming side by side.

Red leaves "burning" on the water? Tsuta-no-Nanuma is a swamp in the Oirase area, surrounded by countless Japanese beech, and the surrounding area is also known as the Towada Sea of Trees. After the fall, the countless red leaves are reflected on the water surface to form a water mirror of red leaves, and at sunrise, it seems that the red leaves are burning on the water surface. The scene is spectacular and shocking.
